2008 Scion Xb for sale by the estate of Glenn Shadix, Susan Gagne administrator. This car only has a little over 7K miles and was Glenn's baby, he rarely drove it much it was garaged at his condo and used when he was in Birmingham, Al. Glenn was actively acting /writing until his sudden death in late 2010. Best known for his role in the cult classic Beetlejuice as Otho the interior designer he also acted in dozens of other major films and TV shows. A close friend of the famous director Tim Burton Glenn acted in may of Tim's hits including Nightmare before Christmas and Planet of the Apes, he also appeared in Dunston Checks In, Demolition Man, Seinfield and many others.More info on Glenn can be found on his personal website, GLENNSHADIX.COM Since Glenn's death I have held on to the car for sentimental reasons, driving it sparingly from time to time and keeping it garaged and clean. Has aftermarket Enkei wheels, upon delivery he had leather interior added (at the dealer) and it has all the options including a killer sound system. Here is a almost new car at a used car price once owned by a famous actor. I've received a few questions so I will address them all here:
1. I don't see any lien information in the vin records? Car was not financed, he paid cash so there were no liens recorded.2. What is the reserve?I will not disclose the reserve just that its reasonable considering the condition of the vehicle. Try to find any Xb with this few miles, the body style stayed the same for years (wasn't updated until 2011 and that was just a cosmetic update) so there is no substantial visual difference between 2008-2010 models and even the later ones are very similar. Customized Xb's are common so if you want to make it unique you wouldn't have to spend thousands doing body/paint work to an existing beat up car. .
3. Will you do a buy it now and will you ship?I MIGHT do a buy it now if the offer is right and I will ship if paid for thru verified means and you arrange all the shipping. I can deliver the car to a local vehicle shipping terminal in Birmingham, it's only a block from my work. 4. Are the wheels factory?The wheels are 18 Enkei with P235/40R18 low profile tires that Glenn requested to be installed by the Scion dealer before taking possession of the vehicle. The leather interior was also dealer installed at purchase.
Note: The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the offer is right. If you are a Beetlejuice fan you can own Otho's car!
