Price: US $34,900.00
For sale is a 1966 Shelby Cobra replica. The car is a B&B Roadsters kit out of Granby, MO. This car was built the RIGHT way with the RIGHT parts. This was not built out of a donor car, every single part on the car was brand new at the time of the build except for the Ford 9 rear end housing, the internals were new. Although the emblems say 427, the car has a 351 windsor motor built by ATK performance engines in Dallas, TX. The motor made 398 H.P. and 423ft.lb. torque, see dyno sheet in the pics. The car has a tremec 5 speed overdrive transmission, gets about 20 mpg at 70 mph on the highway. I have receipts for the kit and parts that total more than the buy-it-now price and those do not include paint work and numerous nickel and dime items. The car was completed in January, 2015 and has just under 1, 600 miles. It has been driven long enough to get all of the bugs worked out and is in as near to perfect condition as a car can be. The wife and drove around town the other evening at 98* for about 30 minutes and the car never reached 200*. I have the original assembly book from B&B and manuals for almost every mechanical piece for the car, ie: ignition system, carburetor, electrical system, steering column, ATK motor. The car is an absolute beast and is the most fun on four wheels anyone could ever have. The car weighs 2, 300 lbs. and with about the same hp as a corvette and weighing 1, 000lbs less. ..you know what I mean. I installed a bluetooth stereo system with Rockford Fosgate speakers and a bazooka base tube in the trunk. It plays loud and very clear going down the highway.
The car also comes with a convertible hard top. I don't particularly like the way the car looks with the top on, but it can extend your driving season and comes on and off with six bolts in the rear and two clamps on the windshield, takes about 10 minutes. I also had a tonneau cover custom made that has fiberglass rods running through it and velcros around the rear view mirror. The tires are not the Goodyear Billboards, they are not DOT approved. They are B.F. Goodrich radial T.A.'s with vinyl Goodyear letters applied to the tire. They have been on for over 500 miles and are very secure and will not come off. The stickers on the car are vinyl static cling, if you do not like them they will come off in seconds and you will never know they were on the car. I have driven the car over 80 mph with the stickers being very stable. I do not mean to insinuate that the car is absolutely perfect without a single defect, it has been driven 1, 600 miles and has some very, very minor chip and scratch hear and there but the car is in as good of condition that anyone could expect for 1, 600 miles. The air breather was turned slightly cock-eyed after a car show and I did not realize and upon closing the hood and driving for a while, it rubbed some paint of the interior of the hood, see pics. That is the worst defect on the entire car.
I hate it when someone puts in their add no low ball offers. There is no low ball, just an offer. Feel free to hit me with any offer you want, I can tell you that if it is significantly below the by-it-now price I will turn it down, but you never know. I have had many toys in my 51 years and will have many more. I will typically get tired of them after a year or so and that is why I am selling, it is not a money issue. I might be interested in trades, let me know what you have. I like corvettes, UTV's maybe even a camper. If you have any questions send me a message with you phone # and I will give you a call or I will send you my phone #. The car is titled and a 1966 Ford Convertible. The title is clear, in my name with no liens.
