I'm offering my 289FIA Hybrid Kirkham Cobra for sale. YES, it is in the Shelby registry as are all Kirkhams, believe it or not. This is # 0769 hybrid, which is a 289FIA hand formed aluminum body on a 427 Kirkham Chassis with all updated billet aluminum coil over suspension, CV joints, aluminum differential, etc. It is registered as a 1965 Kirkham Cobra. It has a Ford Racing small block 363 with 500hp. This is an engine based off the Boss 302 and the most power you can achieve from a Ford small block Windsor in the 289 category. I believe Shelby would have used this engine if it had been available in sixties. The polished aluminum serpentine pulley system is made by Concept One. The intake is an edelbrock air gap with a 750CFM double pumper Quick Fuel Carburetor. The transmission is a Tremec TKO600 5 Speed with a hydraulic clutch system. I had custom stainless steel headers and exhaust built by MP FAB at a cost of 3 Grand. The mufflers are spin tech. The car sounds absolutely fabulous and runs and drives incredibly well. This is by far the fastest and most fun car I have ever built or owned and I have built a lot of cars. Currently, i have only put 65 miles on the car, so it is still going through a break in period. However, there are no issues to be resolved. This was to be my forever car, but with the addition of a new child, it might be time to let it go.
