THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION THE HIGH BIDDER AT THE END OF THE AUCTION WILL OWN THIS GORGEOUS SHOW QUALITY ONE-OF-A-KIND COBRA. THERE ARE OVER 160 DETAILED PICTURES IF YOU DO NOT SEE THEM SCROLL INSIDE THE TEXT BOX, THANKS!
You are bidding on one of the nicest 1965 Shelby AC Cobras you will ever see. To build this car it would cost in excess of $125, 000 easily. It is a show quality Cobra with many features and creature comforts not on any other one, it is also titled as a 1965 Cobra which is a big deal on these cars. To start off the body and kit is from Factory Five an MKII series bought in 2004, the entire build took 7 years to complete and only has 3000 gently driven miles on her. The car was built by a professional shop in North Carolina and originally titled there as well. Everywhere you look on this gorgeous piece of eye candy it is perfect.
The body received a $25, 000 paint job in House of Kolor Wild Cherry with Silver Stripes that are cleared over. There are over 8 coats of base coat and 7 coats of clear. It is buffed, and there is absolutely no orange peel, waves, cracks, etc. It is as close to perfect as you will find. The shine is amazing and when the sun hits it the color just pops. Be prepared for hour-long conversations at the gas stations. Even the inside of the hood and trunk have the stripes painted on them and cleared over. The quality of the build is just astonishing. The entire body was then covered in dyno mat to cut down on the noise and heat. All the chrome and stainless are perfect along with the rest of the car.
The Chassis was built right and was made to handle and ride like a new car. The entire chassis was powder-coated jet black, and I mean everything from the frame to the tie-rods. Complete independent rear suspension was installed with completely adjustable suspension to handle like a new Corvette. The entire front end is all tubular and fully adjustable as well. This is the best riding Cobra I have ever been in and I have owned a lot of these.
The engine is a $15, 000 custom built 347 stroker with all the goodies. Seasoned and studded 4-bolt main 302 block. Eagle forged stroker crank and H-Beam connecting rods. J&E forged pistons. Comp custom grind camshaft with 280 duration very nice street cam not to choppy but sounds very healthy. Aluminum trick-flow heads with 2:02 valves. Roller valve train so no adjusting is necessary. Melling high volume oil pump. ARP hardware throughout. Complete Tri-Power set up, full Mallory ignition, with built in rev limiter. March serpentine billet set up, polished water pump, polished intake, custom valve covers and air cleaner. The entire block was painted the same House of Kolor Wild Cherry as the car. Holley electric fuel pump, and all stainless AN lines and fittings throughout. Best part is it is equipped with Vintage A/C, yes A/C that gives you a nice ice-cold breeze even in the blistering hot Florida sun. There is so much more I can't even list everything. Every part is Chrome, Polished, or Powder-Coated, when you open up the engine bay be prepared to take best of show.
The brakes were not overlooked oversize 4-Wheel POWER disc brakes were installed and this Cobra stops better than a new car. All stainless brake lines, you name it, it has it and its been upgraded.
Transmission is an AODE with 2800 stall, all hardened internals were installed and it was built to handle 600 horse. This baby cruises at 2100 RPM at a mere 70 MPH.
Rear as mentioned before is a complete Independent Rear Set Up. Richmond 3:73 gears installed with Eaton Posi-Unit and all high performance bearings and seals along with grade 8 hardware.
Real Cobra R 17 Wheels on all 4 corners with brand new tires.
Interior is all custom with Auto-Meter gauges, everything works, horn, wipers, turn signals, high beams, low beams, everything. Custom steering wheel, custom console, cup holders, lokar shifter, custom door panels and carpet. All new wiring harness, and Simpson racing harnesses. Sun visors and windbreakers are installed as well. Interior is absolutely perfect and very comfortable and as mentioned earlier has dyno mat installed underneath so noise and heat are kept to a minimum. Also comes with complete convertible top and all hardware, along with tonneau cover, and side windows.
Overall this Cobra is probably the nicest you will find, if you do not believe me come take a look for yourself. Once again to duplicate this build it will run you an easy $125, 000 I have owned many and I can tell you this one is built right and is by far one of the nicest I have seen. It does not run hot, it has tons of power, and it has many one-of-a-kind features that you will not find, A/C, Wipers, overdrive, etc. It was built to drive and show and it wins trophies wherever you take it and always has the biggest crowd around it. People simply cannot believe the quality of the build, and I constantly get asked who painted it because it is simply mesmerizing. Complete top comes with the car as mentioned earlier with windows and frame and a custom tonneau cover for the inside. Fly in and drive it home, clear North Dakota title and once again titled as a 1965 Cobra, any questions call Frank 863-381-3499. Car is sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied, inspections welcome as the car is as advertised but please schedule them before the auction end. Cleared payment due within 7 days of auction end. No 0 bidders unless you email me first I will your cancel your bid. Do not miss out on your opportunity to own perhaps the nicest Cobra in all of the United States.
