Shelby Cobra (1967)

Price: US $40,000.00
This is my Shell Valley factory built Cobra, built in 2002. Like I said this car was build by Shelly Valley, so its not an amateur build.
I have owned this car for several years now, and it has been my favorite car I have ever owned.
However, I have the chance to buy my late fathers shop from my brothers so I'm putting this car up for sale for some extra money.
This Cobra has a REAL 428FE, not a stroker Windsor based engine [no disrespect to the people who own a sbf powered Cobra].
The 428FE did actually come in a few original Cobras back when new, and I preferred it to the 427FE due to the extra torque put out by the 428 which is great on the street. The previous owner said the engine dyno'd at 450hp, but never mailed my the dyno sheet so I can only speculate if its true or not since I haven't taken the car to the track.
In having said that, all of that torque is spread out with the Tremec TKO 600, 5 speed transmission.
What I like about this car is that for what it is, its not temperamental. It starts easy no matter what the weather, it runs cool even in traffic, and don't die at red lights, or stop signs [ you guys with high end muscle cars, or street machines know what I'm taking about]
For this reason I have resisted the urge to do anything more to the car as it fun to drive like it is.
The engine is, of course, a 428FE.
Eldebrock Victor intake.
Mallory electronic distributor.
Quick fuel 850 carb.
Cobra style aluminum carb enclosure.
March 160 amp alternator.
Aluminum radiator with electric fan.
All exhaust Jet Hot coated.
Tremec TKO600, 5 speed trans, with hyd clutch.
Currie 9 rear with 3:55 gears.
Trutrac differential.
Coil over suspension front/rear.
Full adjustable 4-bar rear suspension with poly bushings.
Interior is all leather, with factory style seats, shifter etc.
All visors, and wind deflectors.
Windshield wipers.
Steel reinforced hood handles and trunk handle.
Brass bushings in all hinges.
Drivers side roll bar.
Original Halibrand style wheels with BF Goodrich 295-50/15 rear
and 235-60/15 front.
The best part is that this car comes with a HARDTOP. I have yet to fit the top
to the car so you can cut it to whatever height you want. Now you can drive the
Cobra without worry about getting caught in the rain. Add a heater, and plexiglass side windows, and drive the snake year round. Also the top is the fastback style, like the 289 Cobra which looks better then the strange looking dune buggy type top.
There is no warranty with this car, or any of its parts. I will post my contact number later so you can call with any questions.
Also if you have less than 20 buys on Ebay, or have only been a member for a year please don't bid on this item.
I will expect a $500 non refundable down payment after the auction is over. Buyer/new owner, will be expected to arrange, and finance shipping of this car.
The car won't leave my sight until all payment clears, cash is king.
If you need to talk with me, just send me a message with your phone number, and I promise I will call you back.
This car is located in Alabama.
Thanks.
