1969 Shelby GT 500
ONE OWNER Shelby in Gulfstream Aqua with Gold stripe and White interior. Recently restored by the original owners family with original sheet metal and floor pans. According to the family, when the carpet was removed there was no rust and paint was in good shape. The car was purchased from Koons Ford in 1969; was parked in 1972 and was garage kept until 2009 when restoration began. This Shelby has never been in an accident and is on the Shelby registry. The original spare and inflation can are in the trunk and there is even the original bill of sale from 1969. This is a 4 speed manual transmission with the original walnut shifter knob. The engine is a 428 Cobra Jet with 42, 220 miles. All numbers could match except the VIN tag on the engine has 2 unidentifiable characters. The engine may have been replaced like many during 1969 but other than t[he engine VIN tag all numbers match. According to the Marti Report, this is 1 of 8 made with the tinted glass.
