Up for sale is an absolutely stunning Superformance Shelby Cobra. Everything about this vehicle is top notch, no corners were cut and only the best components were used. Every piece of paper on this car is on hand from the original purchase to the dyno-sheets. This Cobra has never even gotten wet, whether by rain or from washing. It is kept on a trickle charge in a heated garaged and only taken out on perfect weather days.
The paint shines just like new! Besides one light scratch - under 1 inch long on the passenger side rear quarter (see picture), most people would tell me it is not even worth mentioning…she is really just about as perfect as you will find anyplace! The interior – flawless.
This beast boasts a 460 Ford motor stroked to 557 cubic inches sporting more than 575 horsepower. The engine is mated up to the super strong Tremec 5-speed manual transmission (26 spline 2.87/. 82 RR Road Race). She really drives like a dream….idles strong and pulls through every gear just begging to be pushed. The clutch is solid and the brakes and tires great. I could not find a flaw during the 10 mile or so jaunt we just took. Dynamic MotorSports in Reno, Nevada supplied the Superformance body / chassis #SPO2205 (registered currently in NY as a 2005 custom, vin #DPS05ASVE78203605) and Performance Engineering in Ross Ohio took care of the drive train. A recent service and once over was performed by Bill Andrews at HRE Motorcars in Freeport and this Cobra was given the two thumbs up. The specs are as follows:
