1965 Backdraft 427 Shelby Cobra
This beautiful SINGLE OWNER 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 BDR Roadster is the perfect car to take to the track or cruise your favorite roads with. Built ten years ago with the purpose of unlimited road racing, drag, and touring this vehicle is multipurpose built.
All Backdraft Racing Vehicles were hand built in South Africa and come with an original badge located under the hood. This vehicle was purchased as a rolling chassis and built from the ground up as a performance race car from Backdraft racing. Under the hood sits a built 390 c.i. (428 crank - 3.98 4 stroke) bored 4.070 to a 412 Stroker matched with a Tremec 5 speed Transmission. The differentials and axels were completely rebuilt to create positive traction with beefed up axels. The engine, transmission, and rear differential were changed to solid mount bushings. A larger oil cooler kit and radiator were added to keep the vehicle cool even in 100 degree days. It is fuel injected and sits on Koni Adjustable Coilers in the front and Koni adjustable shocks in the rear.
