After watching the big TV car auctions go on & what these cars were bringing plus 10% buyers fee on top of that I thought I would list this one more time. This car's reserve is 10's of thousands cheaper than I witnessed cars that were not any nicer than this one or as well-documented. The correct Highland Green exterior paint is super slick. All fenders, doors & all other body panels are super straight. The pictures do not lie, it is nice on every detail. 　 Engine is numbers matching 428. Engine was rebuilt in 1990 with all new correct parts with very few miles since and runs and drives better than new. Engine fires at first turn of key and idles perfect. Engine has all matching, correct numbers. Interior is original & nice for original. Door panels are in very nice shape, no rips or tears. Dash pads, carpet, seat covers, are all very nice. White convertible top is original and in good shape for original, but does have a fold mark in the back window (shown in pictures).
 The air cleaner was missing at time he looked at car at dealership. The one in pictures is correct for this car.
Some of the paperwork he has is: copy of original title, dealer write up sales agreement, copy of the deposit receipt, build sheet, owner's manual signed by Carroll Shelby, numerous letters back & forth w/ Ford trying to get a couple issues resolved with car under warranty (including the correct air cleaner). No rust issues on this car. Numerous pictures of paint & engine pull when done. Hand written story of owner convincing parents to buy car & history of car while growing up with it.
Car is in Shelby registry & documents the miles in 1991 at 46000. Was bought new at Jack Loftus Ford in Chicago.
His mom & dad bought the car when he was 15 & he took his drivers test in this car. He was clocked by Ohio State Patrol at 142 MPH & lost his license for 30 days in this car.
This car is straight and tight. Car runs and drives very well. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. Everything works on this car as it did off the showroom floor. Nothing to do but get in & enjoy. Drives super nice and turns heads, gets compliments where ever owner drives it. Car is absolutely stunning in person. Would be great addition to someone’s collection or investment that you can enjoy. Car sold new for about $5000, so who knows what they will sell for 10 years from now. Please Read!

We recommend that you come & inspect the vehicle or have a third party inspection prior to bidding. Once vehicle is paid for & released to the buyer or agents transporting for buyer there will be no refunds or renegotiations of price. Being high bidder does not mean being the first person to negotiate a lower price.
If the seller is unable to establish contact with the high bidder within 3 business days of the end of the auction, he/she may lose the place as winning bidder. At end of auction, winning bidder must:
1) contact us or reply to our e-mail within 24 hours and
2) Entire transaction must be completed within ten (10) days of end of auction or we reserve the right to nullify the sale. This is a guideline to follow & not absolute. I will work with any serious buyer if they have trouble w/ time allowed & keep in contact with us.
To protect us from fraud, you will need to pay for the vehicle during normal banking hours so our bank can verify the funds of the transaction. We prefer to use Passport Transportation (800) 325-4267. Very professional haulers that we have not had any issues with.   Just because someone gives you a cheaper price does not mean they are the best choice to haul a classic high-dollar car. Spoken from experience! Be CARFUL of who you choose.
