This car has been my daily driver for the past seven years. This may be sacrilege coming from a 'car guy' (other cars currently in the fleet include a WRX, a Porsche and an Audi TT) but this is a fun, engaging car to drive, especially when zipping around town.
And here's another thing - these cars can road trip as well. My son and I drove this one from our home in Maryland to Colorado and back and I've done many other road trips throughout the Mid-Atlantic and the Midwest.
Some people don't like the smart 'manual automatic' transmission which is a traditional manual transmission that can shift automatically or can be manually shifted via the shift paddles. The paddles are the way to go and add to the driving experience. The minor performance modifications I've made include the addition of a K&N air filter and a free flow exhaust. It's possible these performance modifications might be pushing the horsepower up to 3 or 4 hp above the original factory 70 hp.
Cosmetically the body is in great shape with just a few minor nicks and scratches commiserate with a seven year old car. No rust on this PLASTIC BODIED car! I've added Smart Genius wheels (15 x 6.5) all around and the tires are Kuomo all-season 185/55/15's. If you'd like the original factory alloys I can include those as well.
