The current owner has owned this car for over 23 years and took nearly 20 years to completely and fully restore the car. The ground up restoration of the car took over 738 hours of labor plus materials. The current owner estimates that with labor, parts, materials and the initial investment that the vehicle has a cost value in the range of $110, 000. The current owner purchased the car 23 years ago from the original owner, the car at that time had 5500 miles on it and had been stored for many years in a secure weatherized garage.
The new engine the current owner installed has only 165 miles on it as per the odometer in the pictures. The car is currently stored in a high security weatherized alarmed garage. The car is insured by Hagerty Insurance Agency which is the leading insurance agency for collector vehicles in the world and host to the largest network of collector car owners and recognized as the largest agency for collector cars in the United States. The car is currently insured for over $100, 000. There are currently only about 30 of these cars still registered.
This car is an absolute gem, a must see. The car rides and drives like a dream.
BODY: All steel 1937 Studebaker 3 window coupe. 100% rust free car. All sheet metal and exterior trim are original. Exterior modifications are minimal. They consist of a smooth gas door, Hagan modified headlight rings with head lights with turn signals in the head lights, and smoothed running boards. All new slightly tinted glass in the car. All new rubber around the windows. All chrome was rechromed and all stainless steel polished. Body was stripped completely and painted first with an epoxy primer and the with a Sherwin Williams custom mixed Blue with Flames paint.
FRAME: Stock frame with a Heidts Mustang 2 front end. Rear suspension is stock with lowering blocks. The front brakes were replaced with power disc brakes and stainless steel brake and fuel lines. The car has new 18 inch rear and 17 inch front, wheels and tires. The frame, front and rear end were painted with high density Black Dupont Imron paint and powder coated black during the rebuild process.
INTERIOR: The interior seats, door panels, and trunk area were covered in blue velour with custom stitched flames on the door panels. All of the floor areas in the car and trunk were covered in carpeting. Auto meter gauges were installed in the factory locations on the dash. A vintage custom air system provides air conditioning, heat and defrost to the interior. A Lokar shifter was installed as well as an Ididit Chrome steering column with Aluminum Flames and Wood accents..
ENGINE: A stock V-8 350 crate engine was used on the restoration which now has only 165 miles on it. The car has a custom built Billet Polished Aluminum Radiator with an electric fan. The car has a polyurethane gas tank and dual Aluminum Magnesium Exhaust. The engine block was painted to match the body color. In the restoration an Edelbeock carburetor and intake manifold were used as well as billet aluminum valve covers. The transmission is an automatic stock turbo 350. The car has an upgraded cam.
EXTRAS: You also get some extra parts. Extra Trim Pieces, hood, side skirts, grill. You get a car cover and a new California Winterize Bag Car Cover.

Car is sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind. Buyer is responsible for any and all transportation arrangements. Title is clear and in hand and will be accompanied by bill of sale. A deposit through paypal of $1, 000.00 due at purchase with the balance due within seven calendar days of conclusion of auction unless other arrangements with current owner are agreed upon. Vehicle must be picked up within ten calendar days of conclusion of auction, unless other arrangements with current owner have been agreed upon. Title will be released when car is picked up.
