Absolutely revolutionary in its design for the Studebaker Centennial celebration for 1952, it is a vehicle design by which no other manufacturer came close to emulating.
The Studebaker Commander chrome bumpers have been rechromed, however the grille and some escutcheons illustrate 64 years of wear from polishing, the elements and exhibit some pitting. Stainless trim is in nice condition. New bright red paint and wide whitewalls set off it's attractive and unique style.
The 1952 Studebaker is motivated by a 327 cubic inch Chevy V/8 coupled to a three speed GM TurboHydramatic 350 transmission, providing much improved power and smoothness.
It's absolutely fun to drive, and you will very rarely see anything like it on the road.
The 1952 Studebaker Commander will be sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Questions are invited before you bid. I strongly recommended personal inspection and/or inspection by a qualified individual to be performed prior to auction end. Inspection as a condition of sale after the auction end will not be permitted.
