1935 Studebaker Commander with it's factory flat 8 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual on the floor with free wheeling; first year for Sudebaker's Planar suspension (early designed independent front suspension), factory juice brakes (new front hoses recently added), emergency brake works, factory open drive (open drive shaft), 12 volt upgrade with alternator, electric fuel pump, Artillery wheels with original hubcaps; four door (rare front suicide doors) sedan, with a trunk and rear spare tire; long wheel base gangster era car with lots of early Art & Deco style; desirable model, rare and hard to find; for the most part straight body, doors close nice and easy, the rear floor boards have some oxidation, nothing that goes through ( please see the photo), last painted in the early 1970s, paint is cracking and peeling in some areas (see photos), but still has a shine to it; pop out windshield and rear quarter windows, working lights, horn, factory gauges, except temperature gauge that is in the trunk, all windows go up and down, left rear quarter window has some webbing on it, no cracks on any glass; seats and door panels seem to be original, good headliner and carpet, solid California car don't see signs of cancer; clean Ca. title on hand, Historical Vehicle plates with older registration, there may be some back fees here in Ca. with DMV as vehicle has been garaged for a few years; the car runs, drives, moves, stops under it's own power, but it hasn't been on the open road for a few years, smogs a little, really needs to be driven! everyone has a Ford or Chevy, not too many Studebakers from this era around! Dare to be different.
