This beautiful 1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk is one of 1, 772 built for '64. The' 64 was the pinnacle of the GT Hawks boasting a good body fit and tight construction Some of its great features include: Repainted in the original color of Golden Sand Metallic. Replaced Interior including Headliner, upholstery, Seats and Carpet. Real wood in the dash and door panels. New painless wiring harness. Clock converted to quartz movement; keeps perfect time. All working gauges and tachometer. All new rubber around doors and glass. Nice Stereo with CD player (stock push button radio available, if desired) Tinted Windows The new oversized aluminum radiator and Vintage air heat & AC blows cold and keeps cool on the hottest days. Has an electric pusher fan on the front of condenser for extra cooling when using the AC No expense was spared when rebuilding the engine The 289 V8 was completely rebuilt about 5K miles ago. It was bored 30 over and the crank ground 10-10, using Cupped pistons, Aluminum cam gear, R2 valves in the heads, and a Ted Harbit R2+ Camshaft. This GT Hawk is dressed up with chrome valve covers and chrome oil pan in addition to a Petronix electronic ignition; Edelbrock 4 bbl carb.; Electric fuel pump with a push button for priming; The front seal was replaced with a modern lip seal. Has rebuilt Automatic Trans. Duel Stainless Steel exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Also rebuilt suspension, new front springs and poly bushings. Replaced front steering arms with the short Avanti steering arms. Rebuilt Power Steering pump; rebuilt power brake unit, and front Turner Disk replacing the small stock disk brakes. New Rear spring bushings; New rear Brakes; new shocks front and rear (air shocks in rear). Keystone classic wheels and BFG tires. I have the original full wheel covers that will go with the car but not the wheels. This 1964 Studebaker GT Hawk not only looks and runs great but handles like a modern car.
