289 8 CYLINDER36800 MILESRUNS GREAT Overall, this 1962 Studebaker Hawk GT is in great condition! Locally owned 2nd owner. Garage stored for the last 20+ years. There are a lot of related books, receipts, and other publications from the era, that go with the car.
Interior carpet and seat covers have been recently replaced.
When we acquired the car, the water pump, coolant, plugs, wires, cap, points, and rotor were replaced. We replaced the brakes all the way around, including new wheel cylinders, master cylinder and front brake hoses. New battery and fan belt were also installed.
Paint is blistering/peeled on a lot of the body. The car could be used as is, as an occasional driver, or a body shop guy could take this baby to a whole new level. It really should be stripped down, repaired, and repainted. Trim is pretty good, but some minor pitting in some of the chrome. This Studebaker fires right up, and runs and drives better than one would expect. It steers and stops just fine. It just needs some good TLC to get the body looking fresh again.
The whitewall tires are new w/Full wheel covers!
