This is a super nice all original, rust free 1949 Land Cruiser that I have owned for 45 years. It starts, runs, and drives like new and will easily run at present highway speeds. Motor is very quiet and carries 40 pound oil pressure. It has never over heated, used any oil nor been involved in an accident. Everything is in good working order. The car has always been garaged and maintained mechanically and cosmetically. The car could not be restored to it's present condition. PICTURES CAN NOT DO JUSTICE TO THIS IMMACULATE AUTOMOBILE. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BELOW.
The car is all original! Paint - factory applied black enamel that shines like new with no thin/light areas, crazing, rust. One small scratch on right rear door. UPHOLSTERY - like new and in excellent condition. No fading, tears, holes, wear or thin areas. CARPET - Thick, light grey color in excellent to very good condition. No fading, stains nor discoloring. RUBBER SEALS - All rubber seals are like new and in perfect condition with no cracks/breaks, rot. nor deterioration. CHROME/STAINLESS - All interior and exterior chrome/stainless is in excellent condition. The bumpers show some scratches with no rust nor chrome loss. They are straight with no dents, dings, damage.TRUNK AREA - Woven mat is original to the car. Has slight staining but no dirty/oily spots, holes, unraveling or damaged areas. Original spare with black (original) hub cap and original jack. ENGINE COMPARTMENT -When the car was purchased years ago the engine and under hood components were painted/detailed and remain show quality today. The firewall and inner fenders were not repainted and the original black enamel is like new.UNDERCARRIAGE - Clean without rust. The brakes were rebuilt with new master/wheel cylinders and synthetic break fluid (no more corrosion nor problems). Dealer undercoated when new. Floor boards are perfect.OF COURSE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM, HOSES AND TIRES (NEW B.F. GOODRICH FROM COKER) HAVE BEEN REPLACED TO ORIGINAL.
Through the years this car has won multiple awards. It won 3 First Place Senior Awards at Hershey in the 70's (prior to the introduction of the Preservation Award). In 2011 it received the National AACA Award for the best HPOF ( Historical Preservation of Original Features) vehicle out of 800+ vehicles nationwide.

If you are looking for a beautiful, road worthy, drive anywhere Studebaker that needs nothing then this is the car for you. You won't find another one that comes close and you could not restore one for the asking price. Am selling due to my age.
