Studebaker Lark (1962)
for sale
Price: US $1,000.00
Price: US $1,000.00
1962 Studebaker Lark, 6 cylinder, automatic transmission, everything else is manual (brakes, steering, etc.). It was my wife's daily driver until about 12 years ago. I just replaced the ignition parts (plugs, points, condenser, rotor and cap) and was able to get it to fire by priming the carb with some gas. There is old gas in the tank, I tried to get most of it out, but I didn't want to run any through the system. Sometime in the late 90's I had hardened valve seats installed, as well as new rings and bearings. I still think you would want to tow or trailer it home, and replace all the fluids and check everything out. I'm really not sure what needs to be done when a car has sat for so long. It needs paint, it had a Macco paint job that is fading. Also, the passenger side doors are dented, and the floorboards look like they will need some work (rusty). This car is not currently running, so it would need to be hauled (towed or trailered). I don't know anything about shipping old vehicles, so I can't help you with that.
This is an AS-IS sale, please ask questions before buying. As mentioned above, buyer will be responsible for shipping arrangements. I should also mention that I have this listed locally, so the auction my be cancelled if it sells. As for the payment, I want to be clear...the vehicle will not leave my property until the check has cleared the bank. Of course, I would accept cash at the time of pickup, however a check would need time to clear the bank, sorry.
Thank you!
