This is a 1947 Studebaker M5 Pickup for restoration. It is a good solid old truck. The engine run's good with no smoke or funny noises. I drained the fuel tank and put in new gas but that only desolved the 20 year old leaded gas residue and plugged up the new fuel pump i put on. The truck is running on a hanging can until tank is removed and cleaned out. It was a NOS gas tank when it was replaced 20 years back. The clutch and present transmission work good. The truck has had a new wiring harness and voltage regulator installed. The amp Temp and Oil gauges work and i have a Nos fuel gauge. The fenders have some patched holes in the top that were for u shaped pipe racks. The truck was a plumbers truck in Ft Worth and set in the back of his shop for many years. The bed sides, floor and front are straight and nice. The taigate is good. There are a few minor dents arround the truck but they are few. The floors are good as is the cab corners. This a mostly orginal truck. I started gathering parts about five years back to do it but things change. I have gathered $3000 in new parts for the truck. Some of the parts are hard to find. The transmission is a rebuilt T-90 with overdrive added with the floor shift. The battery is good not some junker like i seem to get. Water pump drips but i have a new one. Brakes were rebuilt but need it again. No brakes. The filler pannels that go at the front of the bed are in back and are repo. If you have wanted to restore one of these trucks this is a good one to restore. I am a president of a Studebaker chapter and not a internet crook nor am i a novice. The truck is not running and driving and if you ship it you will need a car hauler that moves non running vehicals. There are so many parts that they will not all fit in the cab. A Non refundable deposite is required thru E-Bay. Payment is by Bank Transfer or cash in person only within seven days of the auction closing. removal is within 30 days of the auction closing unless the seller agrees to a extension. Thanks For looking Mark
