THIS IS A 1942 STUDEBAKER COMMANDER SKYWAY COUPE! Learn more about these cars HERE!
One of 300 made and quite rare. This car was built in 1942 before production had to stop for the war.
This is the first car ever made to have a one piece curved windshield and this one's windshield is intact and original! Even rarer to find.
This car is currently not running and may be stuck. It ran as of two years ago but Ohio winters are bitter cold.
This car is pretty complete. (See pics and ask questions about specifics)
This car is a project do not bid if you do not know what you're doing or have no idea what you're getting. It's still a good car and with work it could be an awesome ratrod.
INTERESTED PARTIES WITH UNDER 5 FEEDBACK MUST MESSAGE ME FIRST PRIOR TO MAKING AN OFFER OR PURCHASING! THIS IS MANDATORY! IF YOU DO NOT MESSAGE ME YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE LISTING FEE (IF YOU WIN) FOR THE CAR REGARDLESS IF YOU END UP PURCHASING THE CAR OR NOT. “THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED FROM THE AUBURN, CORD, DUESENBERG MUSEUM IN INDIANA. IT WAS USED AS A PARTS CAR TO RESTORE ANOTHER 42 STUDEBAKER. THAT'S WHY THERE IS SOME TRIM MISSING. BRAKES AND CLUTCH WERE WORKING WHEN PURCHASED, ENGINE RAN. ENGINE SEEMS STUCK NOW AND SHIFT LINKAGE ALSO. WE WILL REMOVE DRIVESHAFT SO CAR WILL ROLL FOR LOADING. A VERY SOLID, GOOD PARTS CAR. WHEN ENGINE RAN THERE WAS NO SMOKE OR KNOCKS BODY VERY SOLID; MOSTLY JUST DENTED ON LEFT SIDE AND ROOF. 1942 WAS A UNIQUE YEAR, GRLLE, TAIL LIGHTS AND BUMPERS ARE ONE YEAR ONLY. CAR WAS AHEAD OF ITS TIME WITH ELECTRIC WIPERS AND ONE PIECE CURVED WINDSHIELD. MAKE A UNIQUE STREETROD.” |
