This is the most fun car I have ever built. Everyone loves it. Doesn't matter if their 5 years old or 95. Studebaker purists are happy I saved what was left from the crusher. It Started life as a 1935 Studebaker Commander 4 dr. Titled from original car. Front end body parts are mostly 1950 StudebakerThe frame is a modified 48 Chevy pickup truck. Zed 7 in front, 21 in back. Leaf springs in rear with air bags. 1997 1 Ton Chevy rear-end with 4:10 gears, and new drum brakes. Late 20s Ford front end with new disc brakes set up, and Possie spring from Speedway. New Vega steering box. 1959 Olds steering wheel & colunm. 1965 Chevy granny gear four speed. Power brakes, and a hydrolic clutch slave cylinder. New 12 volt battery, and electrical pannel. Chevy S10 seats with black water resistant covers hidden by mexican blankets. Headlights are 42-47 Chevy pickup. Tailights are 54 Buick.Trunk pannel came from a 47 Nash. I pull the camper in the picture with no problem. Air for the rear bags is provided by an on board compressor operated by a toggle swith. Air can be released manually by a toggle switch dump valve. Both mounted right on the lower portion of the dash. The windshield is new. No other glass. Rear side, and back window have rock crusher screen in to keep your $#!+ from blowing out. The speedometer is not hooked up because the dash cluster needs to be switched out (I have another included with the car. That was just going to be another winter job.I listed the milage as UNKNOWN. I estimate I have put on about 3000 miles since built. Hope you like what you see.

“This is a Rat Rod. Built to be functional, but don't expect it to be your daddy's Cadilac. does not have power steering, or power windows. Hell, it doesn't even have windows. But it's more fun than any fancy car I've had. The speedometer didn't work, so I bought another gauge cluster that still needs to be swaped in. Directionals don't always cancell.(needs adjustment inside colunm)” |
