1963 Studebaker StandardThe Studebaker Standard is a base version of the Lark. It was made as a no option and low cost version of the Lark. This Standard is a 4 Door Sedan with no options. It is radio delete and does not even have a cigarette lighter. What is different about this one is that it was ordered with the 259 V8 Engine. Most Standards were ordered with the six cylinder. It is a manual shift without overdrive.We came across this a few years ago after the car was stored indoors for about 25 years. We had the Radiator cleaned out and pressure tested, New Fuel Pump and rebuilt the Carburetor. It also has a new Voltage Regulator, Battery, Muffler and rides on Four New Tires.
Body is in really good shape but the original Silver paint is dull. Only rust is the usual spots along the back of the front fenders. Someone repaired this with body filler years ago and put gray primer over it.
The interior has a torn front seat and also the top of the rear seat is torn also.New seat covers would fix this problem. The Door Panels look good and all glass is good. The Standard does not have carpet but instead a rubber floor mat.The 259 V8 runs good and has power.The car Runs, Shifts, and Stops good. Everything works and the car is totally original. It is fun to drive around and is so ugly it is kinda cool. It is the only one I have seen.Car is located in Wellington, Colorado which is 75 miles north of Denver. I can store it for 30 days or longer.
