I am posting my subie after owning for about 5 years with no major problems. Im asking 6k as I personally rebuilt the motor (now has about ~40k miles on engine
, ~164, 000 on body) before moving down from Pennsylvania. So yes, it is a northern car, and has some under body rust. Most can be removed with a wire wheel or media blasting. This vehicle also need some parts in the future. Nothing a mechanic or mechanically inclined person cant perform. It does have a salvage title, as it was in an awkward accident scraping both sides up pretty good. Also a minor fendor bender involving a elderly Floridian pulling out in front of me, which only damaged the headlight and bumper cover. I have the images of the damage so you can see it wasn't anything structurally compromised. When I purchased, it had a straight pipe without a catalytic converter, so I paid a local tuner to tune the vehicle on a dyno as well as remove the O2 CEL code. It dynoed just under 300HP and about 300 torque. This vehicle as of now engine wise runs superb! I have NEVER had a CEL light on, unless I purposely made it throw. There is a small dent that can be easily bondo-ed on the front driver side fender. I was going to do it, but I do not want to bother now as I don't have the time. Small rust spot on the rear driver side QP in the underside coming through. Has good tire tread, new battery, new alternator, new throttle position sensor, new fuel pump sending unit, new gas tank and lines, and an aftermarket intake that came with the vehicle. It is currently being looked over at Subaru for any additional problems, that I doubt will arise. I have always run synthetic oil in as well. It is due for a coolant flush. This is a very quick car. Probably the biggest reason I waited so long to let it go. Subaru reliability, DO NOT LET THIS OPPORTUNITY PASS! There are other WRX's on here going for much more having many more miles. I am just looking at breaking even and putting that money into my new car. Any questions, email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Needs Replaces:
- rear struts w/ strut hats
-CV's are the OEM from the dealership as far as I can see, and are just not starting to click a bit when turning.
-wiper arm assembly
As stated, this is a GREAT vehicle for someone that is mechanically inclined and does not mind tinkering with things. I just got a job at the local hospital, and its time for me to finally get a nicer newer car.
