With all the practicality of a midsize sport-utility wrapped up in a powerful sports performance rally car, the WRX Premium models are powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 265 horsepower and 244 pound-feet of torque. That engine is hooked up to a five-speed manual transmission that drives all four wheels through a standard AWD system. The good:Adult responsible Enthusiast owned( this is my 4th WRX or STI and only reason for selling is that I just purchased my 5th, a Hyper blue STi)Religious maintenance No more than 4, 000 rpms during first 1000 mile breakinFirst oil change at 1000 miles and second at 5, 000Manufacture Synthetic oil changes every 5, 000 miles. Just had fresh oil change and service yesterday at dealer.I drive about 40, 000 miles per year for work 95% on highway in 5th gear but as such, the vehicle is used and has the typical road wear on the front bumper ect. The rest of the car is in nice condition and the dealer I was going to trade it in to was surprised it had 43, 000 miles on it.
The bad: tires are about 55-65%The drivers door handle to pull door closed has a few scratches from my wedding ring scratching it( easy to touch up paint or wrap though)Front bumper has a few scratches on underside from parking lots and steep garages.Missing the passengers side front lip vent but they are $38 on eBay or $150 for carbon fiber alternatives.
