For sale here is a very rare 1979 Subaru 1600 DL 4WD wagon, called the Leone in Japan. The same as a Brat pickup but with a wagon back instead! This is a low mileage car with a hair under 69, 000 miles currently. I purchased the car last year from its second owners, who had purchased it from the neighbor of its (sadly deceased) original owner. I have put over 6, 000 miles on it since then and it has given me minimal trouble. Very reliable and has no trouble starting even down to 5 below (this past winter, I tested that...). Stock EA71 engine with 4-speed manual trans that runs extremely well. 4WD engages and works just as it should. The interior is in very nice shape, with only a small rip on the driver's seat. There are no major rust issues on the car that I am aware of. This car is very good for a Japanese car of its age. There are a couple spots where there are bubbles, and there is surface rust on the underside but there is no cancer. The worst area is in the drivers' side door jamb, which is shown in the photos that I have added. New brakes up front and a new exhaust system. The car also has had new tie rods, axles, wheelbearings, and an alignment done recently. The only thing this car may need is new rear shocks or a torsion bar reindexing as the rear feels a bit soft. Drive it as is or fix some of the little cosmetics; it doesn't really need much. Selling just because I feel like hunting down something else... I am no longer considering trades so cash only.
