I'm selling my 1985 Subaru Brat with 166000 miles a 4speed transmission and dual range 4wd. I've owned it for about 9 years and it was my everyday driver for about 7 years. still drive it for about a week or so every few months. It still runs fine and I'm also including many spare parts. This would be a great project for someone or just an easy to maintain everyday driver. I was intending to do a full restore but don't have the time and want something different. My wife told me I'm not allowed to buy a different vehicle until I sell one.
It is 30 years old so here are the known faults
Gas tank leaks somewhere above half (have another, just have not changed it).
Heater control is sticking. The lever is set half way between heat and defrost and has no problem keeping the cab toasty in winter. (temp control works fine as does the fan control).
There are a couple of spots of surface rust bubbling up on the edge of the hood (have a spare).
It does use about a quart of oil every 1000 miles or so, and there are light scratches and a couple small dings.
Spare parts
Engine, transmission (5 speed manual), rear end (dual range 4wd), gas tank. hood, red brat stripe, two fenders, jump seats, couple original Subaru radios one with tape deck, 5 wheels and tires, A/C parts, new Pistons rings bearings and gaskets, interior parts, and some NOS parts.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Seller offers no warranty verbal or written.
