First off, I would like to tell you not to be afraid of the 0 feedback rating. My old ebay id was rezinc100, with1839 feedbacks with 100% satisfaction. Check it out under the find a member tab. I won't go into a long story but ebay basically dropped the email service I had used since the 90's with out any notice and left me unable to get into my account, so I am forced to start from scratch. With that out of the way. .
Offering my 1997 Suzuki sidekick for auction. It has a little over 120, 000 miles on it which is very low for it's age, most have over 200, 000. When I inherited it from my parents in 2011 it had just over 64, 000 so I have put about half the miles it has on it. The 1.8l engine has a timing chain instead of the belt as in earlier models. It is in good condition, but has wear on it expected with a vehicle that is 18 years old and has 120k. Interior looks good with No rips, tears, large stains or excessive wear to upholstery, drivers side carpet has some wear as to be expected (see photos), there are scrape marks on the ceiling and on the side panels in the back cargo area. Split fold seats are great for hauling and it has trailer hitch as well. Has intermittent wipers, rear defrost, power windows and door locks all work. A/c and heat all work. 4 wheel drive requires you to manually lock the hubs from outside.
Exterior has the usual scratches and small rock chips to be expected. There are a few spots of rust appearing on the back gate, and when you open the rear doors there is rust on the wheel wells on both sides(see photos), the steel wheels have rust on them, the only big dent is a scrap on the front drivers quarter panel (see photo) not real noticeable. Paint still shines.
The following are items I know do not work: the gas cap release doesn't work and you need to gently pry the gas door open, it doesn't take very much effort at all and I just use a key, as easy as it is to pry open, anybody could get into it even if it worked. One or both rear speakers are blown, when it comes to changing the radio volume the buttons can be fickle and start changing balance, bass ect instead. The light that illuminates the gear shift at night is out. The check engine light comes on occasionally for long periods of time then goes off, Auto zone check it and said it is the evaporator canister, not something I'm worried about so I never replaced it. Rear brakes have occasional squeak so I would recommend buyer replace rear brake shoes in case they are low.
The following items have been replaced since I have owned the car: front brake pads, Mass Airflow Sensor, water pump, battery, spark plugs, cylinder 1 coil, transmission filter, tires replaced at about 97k, regular oil changes.
These little suvs are built solid and are easy to work on. Driven gently by me and it has never left me stranded.
Terms of sale are as follows: $250 Non-refundable deposit via Paypal due from winning bidder with in 24 hours after end of auction.
Balance to be paid via Bank to Bank wire transfer with in 5 days after end of auction.
Buyer must pick up vehicle by December 21st and sign a bill of sale showing pick up before I hand over title.
Tile is clear and in my possession.
