For those of you who are searching for you first Tesla and aren't really sure how to compare, read on. All Model S Teslas start with a base of 69, 900. Then you add whatever extras you want and each car is custom built. So you can't compare on price alone when purchasing a used one. Ask to see the original window sticker and you will see the options. This car had a sticker price of 96, 320. and was 103, 000. out the door. It has nearly every option available (see below). It has 26000 miles and performs and looks like the day I bought it. It can be yours for much less and looks no different than one right off the lot. With Tesla, they do constant computer updates so it is just like your MacBook or PC or Iphone when you do an update. You end up with the latest options and a better functioning car. As far as I can tell the only thing it doesn't have that is now available is the auto-pilot option. I just got my new one with that option and I'm now regretting a little that I went out and spent 135, 000.00 for a new one that isn't much different from the one I already had. The drive itself option isn't really perfected enough to use like I thought. I loved the original enough to go get another. It is the best driving experience I've ever had in my life. You'll get 200-300 miles per tankful of electricity depending on your driving speed. The warranty is great too. It is totally transferrable and the battery is warrantied for 8 years, so there is 5 years and 8 months left. The rest of the car is 50, 000 miles, 4 years so 2 years left there. The awesome part is there is truly no maintenance. You should have the brakes looked at and the tires rotated but that's pretty much it. Due to the nature of how electricity works, it slows quickly when you take your foot off the accelerator so you rarely even touch the brakes unless coming to a total stop. The options on this car are 85K battery - 10, 000. (makes it faster and gives you more distance), Pearl white paint - 1500.00 (color upgrade), Glass panoramic roof - 2500.00, premium interior ambient lighting - 1000.00, parking sensors - 500.00, tan leather seats - 1500.00, Tech package - 3500.00, ultra high fidelity stereo system - 2500.00, smart air suspension - 2250.00. If you are considering a Tesla I advise you to do so. I really can't imagine I'll ever drive any other car.
