A little background on my $50K deposit and me:I am the PROUD owner of a Tesla Model S P85 since 2013. Deep down, I always wanted the Model X and paid my deposit on the X back in 2012 (before I even got the S)! Suffice to say, I am in the Top 40 for Signature reservations and will be able to receive an X very soon.
When I originally found out the X would be delayed, I figured it would be less than 12 months so I went with the Model S and never really looked back (except for the fact that Tesla has had my $50, 000 for 3+years and the stock was $25 at the time and about $250 now...ouch).
Anyhow, fast forward to today and while I really want to keep my Model X, I cannot go forward in good faith given my expectations on the price are different than what was recently announced. I am a bit stung by all of it, but my loss will be someone's gain for sure.

What you win/receive with your $50, 000+ bid:
From what I understand, Tesla will not let someone buy or transfer a reservation, therefore $50, 000 of your bid will be paid against the vehicle purchase price. For example, if the winning bid is $60, 000, then $50, 000 will go to the purchase price of the car and the remaining $10, 000 will be my goodwill fee. If Tesla permits me to just transfer the Reservation after you win, then I will just do that and keep the balance of bid less $50, 000.
