1992 Toyota Celica GT Convertible.
Recently saved from up North (Maryland), not a barn find but pretty close. I shipped her down to Bluffton, SC and have been working to get her back on the road! She’s now ready to be enjoyed in the summer sun. The car has a lot going for her for being 23 years young. While she isn't perfect, she'll be a fun addition to the family for another decade or more. She's not going to win any car show, she's a fun, reliable drop top for running errands or going to the beach.
The Good (Mechanical)
-Reliable Toyota engine
-Strong transmission, has a ECT Power option.
-Recent tune up (new plugs, wires, oil, filter and air filter).
-New O2 sensor
-New Exhaust Flex Pipe and Muffler
-New Radiator sensor.
-New Battery
-New Rear Brake Pads
-Head Lights go up and down without any issue.
-Convertible top works without any issue although there are some small leaks.
-All Exterior and Interior Lights work.
The Good (Interior)
-New 21st Century Radio with HD Radio and AUX input
-Good Cleaning
-New Drivers Window Motor
-New Drivers Window Controls
-New Floor Mats
-Clean Car Fax (included) and about 10 years of maintenance records.
-15” OEM Toyota 5 Spoke Wheels with decent rubber. 14” OEM Wheels could come with the car if you’re interested.
The Bad (Mechanical)
-AC needs to be recharged. It’s been converted to R134A Coolant and a can of recharge will come with the car.
-Convertible top is not 100% water tight. The car will come with a full body cover (water repellant).
-Seems to be a small oil leak in the bottom of the engine, maybe near the timing belt. Might be a timing belt gasket, very inexpensive to replace, just time consuming.
The Bad (Interior)
-Some scratches on lower dash around glove box
-Cloth Interior
-I’d upgrade the speakers as they’re original to the car.
The Bad (Exterior)
-Could use some minor body work and maybe a simple paint job.
