1980 Toyota Celica USGP Edition five speed in excellent condition and no rust. There were only 200 produced in white. This is a super well maintained car that spent most of it's life in sunny California. As most of you know, a lot of these 80's Japanese marques didn't survive, much less are in this kind of condition. This Celica runs and drives like it should and needs nothing to drive every day. Even the original Hi-Fi still works and is unmolested. It comes with all records, period correct Toyota license plate, and even the original brochure.
The USGP stands for United States Grand Prix.
This Special Edition was to commemorate Toyota's association with Grand Prix racing in the United States.This $750.00 option was offered only in 1980.The option included the following.On the exterior: a special honeycomb grillflat black B pillarsspecial side stripesmud guardsaluminum alloy wheelsOn the interior: ivory vinyl seats with black pipingivory colored headliner and door panelsblack leather wrapped steering wheela high performance sound system, which featuredelectronic tunercassette deckequalizer/amplifierand four speakerslast item is a USGP dash plaque.The USGP came in Red, White or Blue exterior paint.
