I have decided to test the waters and post my completely restored AE86. I purchased vehicle with original two tone color scheme which was all original and never painted or crashed. The paint was faded but body with was MINT the only surface rust was on the sunroof which all suffer from, the fuel injection was swapped out for mikuni carbs which I wasn't a fan of but I said what the hell the body made up for that, I immediately sent vehicle to be repainted back to original specs and 1 year plus later the vehicle was finished but after that time engine developed low compression. Working as a service advisor and having access to mechanics I hired my best tech to disassemble and find cause of failure. Engine was rebuilt completely with new Pistons, rings, bearings, hone cylinder walls and valve job all back to original specs. The mikuni carbs were removed and swapped back to fuel injection set up. Interior is custom which looks sharp against the two tone paint. I have stacks of receipts and a large amount of money restoring this car but cars are not a investment so my asking price there is no profit or even recouping my initial amount. The car runs great and starts Right away. Ac recharged with old r12 and works great, heat works, cruise control does not work missing vacuum lines and some parts near intake but I wasn't worried about that, there is slight chirping noise from drive belts due to powder coating pulleys I replaced belts under warranty and went away for couple of days but came back I since ordered lightweight pulleys not installed yet so with the new pulleys noise will go away. I drove vehicle about 1500-2000 after rebuild during the summer using 93 non ethanol gas and vehicle ran great with ZERO issues. I currently have the oem zenki lip brand new that was not painted, also have retro spec carbon fiber zenki lip. I originally was going to go with oem lip but then decided to go with th carbon fiber look but never installed either, I also have carbon fiber side skirts and door visors brand new never installed also sitting in my garage. Again never got around to installing depending on negotiation of price these can be included. I am testing waters and not in desperate need for the money so keep any ridiculous low offers to yourself because I won't do it! I am honest and straightforward person with no bs.
