Hello Bidders. I am selling my STOCK CONDITION 1986 BJ70 LX ( luxury model ) / DIESEL / TOYOTA LAND CRUISER / LEFT HAND DRIVE / 24 VOLT / POWER STEERING / FRONT DISC BRAKES / 4 CYLINDER / 3B ENGINE / 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION / HI-LO 4 WD. The paint has been touched up over the years but appears to be about 75% original condition. I have owned numerous Diesel Land Cruisers over the years. The 3B engine in this cruiser is exceptional. Does not Smoke, Idle is perfect, Compression Check just done JUNE 23rd and is near perfect with numbers: 450 psi / 400 psi / 380 psi / 460 psi. ALL FLUIDS just changed out JUNE 23rd: OIL and FILTER / TRANSMISSION GEAR OIL / TRANSFER CASE GEAR OIL / COOLANT / DIFFERENTIAL GEAR OIL. The BJ70 Land Cruiser is extremely rugged. It reminds me of the old FJ55 except more compact. Drives like a tight little Tank yet really comfortable. Mine has FACTORY POWER STEERING in perfect condition. The Cruiser has a FACTORY 5 SPEED manual transmission so it drives quietly on the freeway yet has plenty of torque for off road. The back seat is a FRONT FACING bench and extremely comfortable. It seats 3 with extra space for storage behind the seat in the cargo area. Here is a list of other stuff: *** New Professionally Installed Fuel Cell ( please note that tank is filled through the cargo area ). *** New CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER. ***New LEAF SPRINGS, TIE RODS and SHOCKS. *** NEW ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP. *** The two tires on back are in excellent condition and are BF GOODRICH 33 X 12.50 X 15 ALL TERRAIN T/A. *** The two tires up front are MICKY THOMPSON BAJA CLAW RADIAL 33 X 12.50 X 15 and are also in very good condition. ***New BRAKE LINES. *** New GLOW PLUGS. ***BRAKES, CLUTCH, ELECTRICAL, INTERIOR LX SEAT UPHOLSTERY, DASH AREA, GAUGES, HEADLINER, CARPET, VINYL , DOOR PANELS and FRONT DOOR LOCKS are all in good working order. ***NEW MUFFLER. ***TOW HITCH and WIRING all good. The 3B Diesel is an extremely rugged engine, used in Japan for Mining Generators, Fork Lifts, Commercial mini Busses and Toyota Land Cruisers. If taken care of properly these motors are easily capable of 500, 000 miles. Parts are easily found through SPECTOR OFF ROAD in Chatsworth, California and NOORDEMAN DIESEL in Welshpool Australia. Both Specter and Noordeman are extremely reliable and extremely fast delivery. Their prices are also very good if parts are ever needed. WWW.NOORDEMAN.COM.AU. As mentioned, all fluids just changed out, no issues with the cruiser. Please note though that the EDIC shut off has been rewired and is currently accessed on left side of dash. The BJ70 is an extremely rugged Land Cruiser, capable of traversing through the toughest of Terrain. The 3B Diesel gets about 25 miles per gallon. All BODY MOUNTS are solid, FRAME is solid, Cruiser was professionally lifted 2 inches to allow the 33 inch tires. The cruiser is stable and solid on the freeway. The BJ70 is NOT very fast so if your looking for speed, don't buy it. As mentioned, the 3B is super reliable, low torque, great for climbing mountains, great on the freeway because of the 5 speed but again, they are NOT fast Land Cruisers. I have receipts on the fluid changes and the compression check which I will send along to the winning bidder. * ****This Land Cruiser DOES NOT have to be smogged in any state. * ***The Cruiser also has a CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE which I will send along to the winning bidder. The Cruiser was shipped from Japan to Canada when it was new. Then shipped from Canada to Southern California in 2011. I am the 3rd owner. I have owned many Land Cruisers since 1975. Some of them Diesels and some of them Gassers. I have always enjoyed the Diesels the best. This BJ70 is no exception. It is very solid. Very comfortable for the wife and kids. Very safe and you should not have any problems with this motor for a very long time. We were very happy with the compression results and as mentioned, the cruiser does NOT leak, does NOT smoke and has a wonderful idle. I can't give the cruiser away but have set the RESERVE fairly based its condition and rarity. I can get any picture you want, just email me. On Jun-27-16 at 02:08:07 PDT, seller added the following information:VHT BRAND HIGH TEMPERATURE CHASSIS SP670 GLOSS BLACK PAINT was just used this past week by me to protect undercarriage. It will at least help to prevent further surface rust and bubbling until winning bidder decides to restore or paint the Land Cruiser. Also, someone just asked if I did a recent valve adjustment. I have not done one but in my professional opinion the engine sounds perfect, runs perfect, does not smoke, idles perfectly and as noted above, has near perfect compression numbers. The winning bidder should do a valve adjustment every 8k miles if possible. Any other questions, lemmie know.
