Rare 1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
Original except steering wheel, wheels, tires, 4” lift, radio, front added bumper winch mount, and electronic ignition. The odometer shows 50, 977 miles but not sure if that is accurate. Garage kept most of its time spent with me this past 12 years. Stock 2F straight 6 except for electronic ignition. I have owned this FJ for over 12 years and to put it simply my interests have changed and I am now willing to part with it. It should go to a good home where it will be restored to its original beauty.
Included is the complete original hard top, matching color of course. Top is in great condition no damage, all original glass and intact kept in inside storage. Bottom of ambulance doors have rust, see pics. No headliner which I removed due to sag. Best Top Soft Top with 2 piece doors and bikini top included. Engine/Transmission/transfer case all in excellent working order. Starts right up and you can drive it home. All electrical is in good working order. Heater will bake you out since I restored it a couple years ago works great! Rear heater works as well. Recently went over a hundred miles to a local 4WD outing. Both 4W low and 4W high work flawlessly. 4WD engages easily with no issues. Drive train all stock, power steering was added by previous owner.
4” Hell for Stout lift installed, purchased from CCOT around 2003. New leaf springs shocks, bushings all replaced with kit. Exterior is 38 years old, has paint fading as expected. Some touch up paint was used on small areas where rust was sanded off, such as the fins on the hood. Bed is in great condition except near rear doors. Rusted area was cut out and primed, about 1”x 6” spot to prevent further rust (see pics). Intended to weld in new piece but never got around to it. That was several years ago and no new rust there. Pics show all the rust spots like the right foot board needs replaced. I am not hiding anything here. No diamond plate cover up. Cutout in rear right corner panel was for a spare gas tank access cap that I removed. It was heavy and rusted out and not useable so I sent it to the scrap yard.
Interior is stock except I added a stereo, a couple rear speakers, Two toggle switches, not hooked to anything . Stock seats, front and back. Driver’s seat seam came apart slightly this past year (See pics). Stock tool bag and stock barrel hydraulic jack included with handle.
Original floor mats and seat belts. Driver’s seat belt fraying some though but still works. Frame is solid no cracks or rust visible. Disk front brake calipers leak a little so will need rebuilt.New exhaust

Do not have original wheels or hubcaps but I do have what looks like the original spare tire and wheel that goes with. Winch NOT included. Over all this FJ could be driven as a daily driver, built like a tank and is perfect for a complete restoration to triple your money. Please note that the pics showing the hardtop installed are a couple years old and for visual only. Fog lights are no longer available.
