Up for auction is a great example of a 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ61V. It is a turbo diesel with a fully functional push button for the 4x4. It has little to no rust (I think I saw 2 very small surface spots) This Land Cruiser runs and drives like a tank. The automatic transmission is very strong with no hesitation in between shifts. The turbo spools as its supposed to with no sputters. This vehicle was imported under the 25 year law which makes it fully legal (EPA and DOT exempt) Unfortunately for California and Hawaii residents, you can not register it. But the rest of the States are ok, no problem. It has the trusty and sought after 12H-T 4 liter engine, which gets pretty good gas mileage. (30 MPG if you drive nicely, 25-28 normally) The interior is very clean. eBay doesn't recognize the Japanese short VIN (HJ61-013426) It is listed as a 1960 because eBay doesn't have their business together and they still don't recognize vehicles that were manufactured outside of the USA not intended for the USA.
