This is a lovely prize winning car that can put a smile on anyone's face. Exceedingly well cared for and ready to go for a fun drive.
Over the past couple of years this TR3A has received significant attention. Theres an entirely new front to back suspension, a new steering column and steering box; the break system was completely rebuilt, (breaks are incredibly good), there's a new radiator, rebuilt fuel pump, stainless exhaust, a rebuilt synchro OD transmission, NOS Lucas ranger driving lights with a period correct dash switch that lights up when they are turned on. The dimmer switch was taken off the firewall to allow for more legroom and mounted on the dash using a dip & beam toggle switch from an E-Type Jaguar. The dash mounted OD switch is from an Austin Healey which is much more attractive. (yes, I have an original switch) The carbs were rebuilt, the ignition changed to electric, (yes I do have the original set-up), and the electric windshield washers work too!
The Dash and interior are in very good condition, the glass is excellent, all chrome shines beautifully, the paint is very good, the chrome wire wheels are bright, knock offs are in excellent condition, the tires are virtually new, and all of the gauges and lights work properly. Weather gear and top are in great condition, and the never used side curtains come with the car. There's also a well hidden and seldom used modern Radio/CD changer. I also have a new chrome luggage rack that's never been mounted, plus some decent spares. There's a service history file.
Last fall this car won best in class over other Triumphs, Healey's, (one of them was a very nice 100M), Jags, and MG's, in a well attended vintage all Euro meet. If you're looking for the charm of a well sorted, great looking, appreciating, TR3A that can be driven with confidence, this is it.
