Description:

I bought this car in 1991. Car was parked by me in '94 inside unheated garage w/ car cover, concrete floor. Cooling system drained, marvel mystery oil added to cylinders and engine manually turned occasionly. Motor turns freely. Gas tank was not drained. No attempts to start car since parked. The engine was rebuilt in 1977, I was told it was balanced and blueprinted. I can't be 100% sure of that. I do have info relating to a regrind of the cam to road and track specs. It is an older amatuer restoration, around the late 70's . The original color was wedgwood blue. To the best of my knowledge this was a Ga. car until the mid 80's when the previous owner relocated to R.I. I have paperwork back to 1974 which validates this. I know the previous owner quite well and can honestly say that neither he nor I put on a lot of miles. Since he bought it and continuing through my ownership, the car never saw foul weather and was always garaged when not being driven. The actual mileage is unknown.
There is bubbling of bodywork on the left side wheel wells, door top sill, rocker panel, lower fenders and front cowl. The right side has no issues that I can detect. The hood has some grease running down the left side which leaked thru the car cover from an unknown source, depicted in one photo. The floorboards are solid inside and out. The inside of the trunk is solid w/ just surface rust. The frame has some minor surface rust but being a fairweather car w/ it's share of oil leaks, it's appears to have been well protected. The exterior chrome is pitted.
I believe the top is not orignal. The plastic is quite yellowed and there is a 3 patched (electrical tape) slice on the right rear top.
The dash cover was replaced, the 2 crash pads need replacing, I do have a used drivers side that's included. I have the facia support bracket that has been stripped to metal. The seats appear to be from an early TR6 and are in good condition with the exception of minor separation of covering at headrest, drivers seat.. The carpet is homemade, worn and in the trunk. There is no glove box. The drivers door window has vertical scratches, all other window glass appears good.
The wheels have surface rust. The car rolls. I have a small collection of spares, mostly used, all from the restore. The SUs' appear to have been rebuilt and not used. Included but not shown is a spare engine (head off), head, transmission and used clutch assembly, a wire wheel and a homemade wheel truing stand w/ spoke wrench. 4 steel wheels and 5 hubcaps. Hubcaps have pitting.
The car had no issues when parked, was a fun driver and only let me down once, due to vapor lock. I subsquently insulated the fuel line and had no further problems.
I'll answer questions to the best of my ability and memory. I welcome bidders to see this car for themselves and will make myself available to show the car to anyone other than tire kickers. The balance to be paid w/in 7 days of auction end by certified check. Car will not be released until payment clears. Shipping will be solely the responsibility of the buyer. I will work w/ buyer on arrangements to pick up. Car will need to be picked up w/in 14 days of auction end unless other arrangements are made w/ me, but I'm looking forward to the garage space soon. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Car is sold as is with no warranty.
New York State does not issue titles for model year 1972 and older. I have the original NYS transferable registration which will be signed over to the new owner. This and a bill of sale are all that's required to transfer ownership in NYS. You'll need to check requirements in your state.
