Classic Antique British Sports Car 1955 Triumph TR2. Original Owner. Provenance 100%. Restoration needed.
I am original and only owner. In June, 1955 I bought car brand new from BritishTriumph dealer in Paris, France. I have clear title including original Frenchdocuments. This sale includes all my Triumph parts, books, literature. Maintenacerecords extend back to original 1955 purchase.

In 1974 car failed EPA emissions/smog tests. I took it off road and have stored it inmy garage for 41 years. Complete 60 years provenance. TR2 has been driven incountries displayed on badge bar.
This TR2 is excellent do-it-yourself restoration project. All original factory partsand components - no aftermarket modifications or alterations. Never raced orrallied. Seat cushions can be used after covering with new plastic over foampadding.. Installing my included new parts, repairing tonneau cover and side curtainscan get car on road without spending big restoring money. TR2 uses oil and needs newpiston rings.

When taken off road, Triumph was running/drivable. Rust on body panels, no damage toframe. Never wrecked. Cylinder head removed just once in 1960 to replace leaking headgasket and have machine shop valve job. The oil pan (sump) has never been removedsince it was installed new at factory.
Uninstalled parts, for restoration, sale includes new floorboards, rocker panels, inner sills, front shock absorbers, brake linings, master cylinder kit, and other newparts. These parts are all included in this sale. Superficial rust on newfloorboards from rain flood where garage stored. Right rear fender folded under, needs professional straightening. Needs carpets and seatcovers.
Engine running in warm weather. Hydraulic brakes and clutch fluid dried up.Installed new water pipe, heater hose, new fuel pump, new distributor cap and wiresto spark plugs, new coil, points, condenser, changed oil with new oil fillter, newtire. Engine is running, but TR2 cannot be driven until hydraulic brakes and clutchare restored, probably with repair kits. Master cylinder kit included in sale.
A $300 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of theauction. The balance must be paid by cash or bank wire transfer within seven days ofthe end of the auction. If the winning bidder fails to pay in accordance with theserequirements, I may, at my option, make second-chance offers or re-list/remarket thevehicle and the deposit will be forfeited by the bidder.
With included tow bar, TR2 can be towed anywhere using towing vehicle's trailerhitch. Arranging and paying for shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder.I will cooperate with your shipping company.
