Price: US $25,000.00

Description:

Standard-Triumph produced this one-year-only model from August 1967 through December 1968. They were tailored to the American market and marketed as the New 1968 Triumph TR250. Total production was 8, 594 units and all were exported to North America and sold as 1968 models.
The TR250 (and the UK version TR5, which had Lucas fuel injection) was a transition model essentially using the TR4 body with a new 6-cylinder engine. The TR250 featured separate body-on-chassis construction with a 2498cc straight six cylinder engine with twin Stromberg carburetors, 4-speed synchromesh gearbox, an optional electronic overdrive, rack and pinion steering, semi-trailing arm independant rear suspension and front disc brakes. To add some flare for the U.S. market, Standard-Triumph's marketing department added a silver stripe across the nose and reflective stripes on the convertible top. The body was later revised, using the same independant rear suspension chassis and 6-cylinder engine, to create the TR6 that was produced from 1969 through 1976.
This particular car, Commission Number CD3109LO, was a completely original, low mileage car that has had a complete restoration. A body-off restoration has been completed to the highest standards. The original engine was completely rebuilt by Master Mechanic Philip Allen of BritCar Services and one of the mechanics of the factory Triumph race team in the 1960's! Phil also rebuilt the transmission and the overdrive. They operate exactly as they should!
