Offered for sale, here on eBay from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this extremely solid, nearly rustfree sidescreen Triumph for restoration. This car was recently purchased from a longtime Southern California family that placed this TR into storage almost 40 years ago in 1977! As a result, it is highly preserved, original, solid, and has never been disassembled for restoration. It still retains it's pair of original issue black and yellow license plates. It is a desirable late production body with raised hood and trunk hinges, revised trunk floor and edge, and stiffer doors.
This car is just about 100 % rustfree, save for some small trunk lid holes and some minor bubbling in the LH front fender. There is some minor rust through at the top of the battery box. The original floors, trunk floor, spare tire compartment, dogleg areas and inner rockers are in exceptional condition. the body has acquired some soft dents over the years in storage that can be rectified. The door and trunk gaps appear original. The front apron is loosely attached. Some non-original hinges have been installed on the bonnet. The front fender wells and bowls look beautiful and straight.
The car's undercarriage looks very nice and well-preserved with an excellent straight frame. The car's original engine is currently stuck from lack of use, but may free up with some penetrating oil and patience. The family indicated that it was a running car when put into storage...
The car is very complete except for the passenger seat squab. It still retains it's original sidecurtain set. The instruments, switchgear, and trafficator are in very decent shape. The temperature gauge has been changed out to an aftermarket unit. It is fitted with an aftermarket luggage rack. The windscreen glass needs replacing. The interior trim is very original. The sale of the car includes all of the loose parts shown. Overall, a complete, very good matching-numbers, solid sidescreen TR with a California history from new. A perfect car for the home restorer, needing virtually no rust repair or welding. These cars are enjoying a revived strong interest as of late. They provide enjoyable period motoring on a modest budget.

Title Information
: Vehicles titles may be held by banks or lenders as collateral for loans. In many cases there is a delay in receiving the original instruments up to 21 days from the time we pay a vehicle off. While we usually have all titles in our possession at closing, there are occasions where we may be waiting for them to arrive. If payment is made by cashier's or personal checks we will hold all titles for 10 days or until funds have cleared.
