Triumph TR-8 1981
The '81 TR-8 are the last produced by Triumph and the only year for Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injunction.
This is an immaculate example. Very original. The car runs and drives great, no issues. I have the original wheels with New appearing NOS tires. This car will be a excellent candidate for Concourse restoration, but it's to good to restore now. The paint is excellent, not even a rock chip. Absolutely no rust. It hasn't been driven in the rain or even had a hose and bucket wash job for the past 22 years. I'm the third owner. last owner had the car for 18 years and never put the top up. Only drove it on sunny days. I bought the TR-8 four years ago. I have done lots of maintenance to make the car the best it can be. I have installed the folling parts.
New Robins Top (Hood)
New Minilite style wheels and Michelin tyres.
New leather seat squabs, foam and support straps.
New shocks and struts.
Total rebuild of front end including rebuilt steering rack, ball joints, tie-rod ends, all new bushings, brakes.
New stainless break lines
New optima AGM battery
New A/C compressor/dryer/convert to 134a refrigerant
Remove, pressure clean and seal fuel tank with KYB tank sealer.
Many other items replaced, such as hoses, belts etc.
I will include many spares such as 140mph speedo, brake master cylinder, clutch/pressure plate and more
The mileage is 66, 400 miles.
You would be hard pressed to find and nicer fuel injected TR-8 !
I will be glad to put it up on my lift and show you the condition and maintenance work that I have done.
