This is a great opportunity to own a great looking and driving TR4 with rare options at well below price guide values like Hagerty. Newer british racing green paint with tan leather interior. Everyone complements us on how beautiful it is and thumbs up wherever we go. The car has a very solid body, frame and chassis (I have a video showing a magnet being touched to frame, chassis and body parts to show that it's metal and not filler in the usual rust areas).
I spent a lot on various new interior and exterior parts like chrome pieces including new taillights, mirrors, door and window handles, trunk hinges and trunk handle and lots more. The engine was rebuilt by the former owner and runs very strong with very good oil pressure (see picture showing oil pressure at warm idle). The engine has excellent compression and I believe it might have a mild cam or oversized pistons as it's very fast and lots of tourque. It's definitely the fastest TR4 I've ever driven. There is no noticible oil leaks which is rare on any british sports car.The tranny shifts well and overdrive works properly. Rewiring was done as well. It has a new beautiful wood dash and wood steering wheel. The very rare surrey top has a fiberglass rear piece and an extremely rare (something like 500 made) aluminum targa top that is original. It retains it's original and impossible to replace rare short bubble hood .
Also has a like new tonneau cover and the convertible top frame. I recently purchased the new minilite type wheels. I also have the original wheels if preferred. Has new brakes and clutch. Actual mileage is unknown.
Please look at this car in person or have someone look at it for you before you make an offer. Once your bid is made at or above reserve there are no post purchase inspections as you have purchased the car at that point. If you are looking for a very nice road going TR4 that has the benefit of being well sorted this is a nice Triumph TR4 to consider. I believe this is the best deal you will find for such a nice TR4 with hard to find rare options!
