Strong performance, lovely aesthetics, simple, reliable classic sports car

Unlike its MG competitors, this car really goes…..100 hp, lots of torque, rated at 110 mph top speed, and the first major production car to have disc brakes.
Excellent 2 liter pushrod engine….my tests, 155-160 psi compression in every cylinder, 80 psi oil pressure when warm, no smoke cold or hot, quiet valves…all factory perfect. And compare this to most of the cars on eBay with sellers who have no idea as to their car’s compression or oil pressure!
Transmission works well, doesn’t pop out of gear, has good synchromesh action, differential is quiet, disc brakes work very well, master cylinders appear to be new, and the exhaust sounds as it should.
Paint looks fairly new and has a great look…..straight down the sides, door fit well, very good shine. And no cracks or bubbles. Excellent spare wheel floor with no rust at all. Floors also look good….not perfect but very good for the age of the car.
Shows 66, 000 miles and a good chance that is original, judging by all of the original parts of the car.
All original gauges…no non standard units here), original heater, wire wheels, interior/upholstery is very good AND it has an upholstered (optional) back seat for 2+2 seating….maybe not for two extra adults but certainly sufficient for two happy kids.
Most of the chrome is new, top appears to be fairly new and same with the boot cover and side curtains. Underneath and inside the wheel wells, painted and detailed, and the entire front suspension appears to have been recently disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt.
Engine bay is very clean, painted the same as the exterior, original wiring harness is intact and all electricals work. No massive oil leaks or odd sounds, and on the road, it is a pleasure to drive with ample performance.
