This is a 1958 Triumph TR3A according to the VIN, however, as was common practice of the time, it was titled as a 1959, which was the year it was actually sold new.
Car was rebuilt from the ground up 3 years ago. This was a rust free car that came with no engine or transmission, so a 1962 TR3B that was too far rusted to repair donated it's engine and transmission to the project. The engine and transmission were both completely rebuilt. This engine is the 2.2 liter, bored .30 over, all new liners, rods, pistons, cam. . all working parts were replaced at the time with new parts. All receipts come with car.
If you will notice the TR3B engine is similar to the TR4, in that oil filler spout on the valve cover is located at the rear of the engine, while all other TR3's had the oil spout located at the front of the engine.
Engine number is TCF1227E. That engine code signifies that this engine came from a very late TR3B. The transmission is also matching the TR3B and has the very desirable 4 speed synchromesh with electric overdrive. The overdrive activates in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears.
During restoration the entire car was striped of paint, at the time only one very small rust spot was found, which was the passenger side floor. This was repaired with metal. No other rust was found on the car and you will find no bondo, or similar products on this body.
All new leather interior, with new carpets installed. All gauges are original and functional, with exception of temp gauge which was replaced with NOS. After market wood steering wheel installed, the original is in my possession and available with the car.

New windshield, still have the old windshield with an inspection sticker from the 1970's, you may have the old windshield if you would like with the car.
Car has the optional heater, if you note on the dash there is a map light where the heater rheostat should be, I do have the original, working rheostat that can easily be switched out.
Has optional windshield washers that are not currently connected. Also windshield wipers are not currently working, simply due to not being hooked up, as this car is never driven in the rain.
All chrome is new, convertible top and tonneau cover are new, side curtains are aftermarket AMCO, but are in new condition.
Has fog lights that are connected to a circuit boss fuse block. There is no radio in the car, however one could be added as there are 4 open fuses in the circuit boss.
I have a book with all restoration related receipts that total greater than $22, 000.
