Relisting- Local buyer's wife said no.
Nice 1960 Triumph TR3. If you are looking for a show car this is not for you. I consider it a nice little 10 footer. I have owned for two years and just drive I it around town. It turns heads everywhere you go. It runs. That being said I would tune it up again and lube as it is a 50 plus year old car. I believe I am the third owner. The last owner started a modest rebuild on it. It included a new single stage paint and body work. He removed the chrome trim and smoothed out the fender lines. It gives it a more modern look. (Some may or may not like). The chrome is still there but really needs to be re-plated. Engine is solid. I did put a new exhaust and the Macy turbo fan on it. I also installed new carpets, heat matting and a rear seat with a belt. I was told the mileage was accurate by previous owner. There is a cage for the top and I do have some ugly side curtains for the doors. I never installed them as I store the car my garage and never drive in the rain. I have a few boxes of extra parts that go along with it as well. Please feel free to ask any questions. Please come and look at the car before bidding it is always the best way to buy a car.
Usually asked questions-
1. Yes, I am the registered owner. It is registered and insured by me and in my name. There is no lien (not sure if that is even possible) and Haggery insurance is a great deal, just a couple hundred a year. There is no story being a friend of a friend's car. It is my car.2. I am selling because I have too many toys and I have a new toy in the way. It is for sale locally as well. I would love for it to go to someone who will enjoy it. 3. What was my next project this car? I would tune-up and give the once over. I drove it a good amount last summer. This year, not much at all other than starting and pulling it out of garage and around the block into town. I am overly cautious and would look over everything brakes on down. I love these British cars and the way they were engineered. This is a 55 year old car. Please do not think it is like driving a new BMW Z4 or Boxster. Money not object fixes? I would respray/clear-coat it, re-do suspension w/ that reworked Moss steering system and replace the radiator. Why? Paint and clearcoat, just to give it a little extra pop. Suspension - It is 1960 technology why not give it a more modern feel? The steering system by Moss looks pretty cool.radiator - well it is the original or at least the same model, if it was replaced. The newly designed/materials that Moss Motors offers look fantastic. Why not modernize?
Any other questions shoot them over or come look at the car yourself.
