When the Triumph TR3 debuted in 1955, Triumph intended not only to update the previous TR2 but also bring the driving experience and styling into the second half of the 1950s! The car debuted with the TR2’s 1991 Inline 4 cylinder motor that made 95 horsepower, plenty for a car that weighed just over 2, 000 pounds. In 1957, the “TR3A” was launched, further improving the car and incorporating wider front grille and front disc brakes, the first production car to feature them as standard equipment! TR3A production was around 58, 000, of which less than 10, 000 are documented to survive today!

All mechanicals up to date including electronic ignition. Needs a tune up but a fun driver. Needs a complete restoration but can drive in the meantime. New Dayton chrome 60 spoke rims ($1500 item alone), new floors, outer rockers, glove box, front grill and the felt kit to reseat the fuel tank all included. The original side curtains are with the car as well. Car located about an hour north of NYC in NY not CT. Car was originally black previous owner painted it. Original engine. It has the optional back seat. TR needs to be trailerd and then gone through before putting back on street. I have the TRANSFERABLE registration. No title needed in NY. This is a great start for a restoration project - a running drivable vehicle ! I just don't have the time anymore.
