1976 Spitfire with MK IV GT6 engine and Overdrive.
This car has seen less than 300 miles since 1991, when it was parked as a rust-free 1500. The engine swap and complete rebuild was done gradually with parts that I slowly imported from the UK myself (yes, in duffel bags loaded with such things as a stainless exhaust, transverse spring, shocks…). All machine work, bronze valve guides, etc.) was done at Zeke’s in Montreal, and the mounting of the GT6 bonnet and paint to original colour (Inca Yellow) was done by Miniman.
Interior is original, with the original seats and wool carpets. Dash was refinished and looks great.
This car has never seen a winter, and rarely rain. Always stored indoors, raised off a concrete floor.
New parts and upgrades were nearly all purchased from Moss in the UK, and include:

Brakes, clutch (to handle the weight of the larger engine)
Aluminium valve cover
Rebuilt carbs with K&N air filters
Front running gear, brakes and rebuilt radiator from GT6
New springs on front and new leaf spring (NOS) on rear
Spax adjustable shocks all around
Falcon Stainless Steel free-flow twin exhaust
Fiberglass transmission tunnel
Lucas Sports coil, leads, etc. etc.
Brand new (not yet installed) soft top – Premium mohair made in the UK.
I have owned this car since 1984, and invested well over $10, 000 plus original purchase price to bring it to its current glory.
