1979 Triumph Spitfire, car runs and drives good, engine sounds good, trans shifts good, car does have the overdrive transmission, I dis-assembled overdrive unit, replaced all gaskets and O-rings, however the solenoid is bad, I used a solenoid from my transmission and the overdrive does engage. The engine is the 1500, with a weber carb. I have replaced oil pan and front cover gasket. I have also installed new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. It does have a higher amp alternator, and an electric cooling fan with relay, although it does not have a thermostat with the fan so you have to turn it on with the switch. The previous owner installed a new muffler, it is not stock but it does sound ok. I have included pics of the rust, which is not too bad, the floor pans are good. It would be a good driver while you were working on it, it runs down the road good, of course it does need suspension work, shocks, bushings.Car does come with the orange factory hardtop that is pictured on the primed spitfire, top does not have the small vent windows, it does have the back glass.
