This 1971 Spitfire is a great car. These have been coming up in value. This one has 61000 original miles. It has never been restored. It is a good driver quality car. The biggest thing is no rust. That is very rare for one of these. The car runs strong and drives straight. The Michelin tires have great tread left and no dry rot. The car has tight and responsive steering. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and holds very good oil pressure. New fuel pump. The car shifts up / down through all gears with no bidding or grinding of the gears. At this time I know of nothing the car needs other that to be driven and enjoyed. I would not hesitate to drive this car any distance.
Headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, front and rear side marker lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash indicator lights work and interior courtesy light works. All gauges are correct and original. New front disc brake pads. The paint is by no means perfect. It is not a show car but would be an easy total restore or enjoy it like it is. Do nothing but drive it and cash in later as the value climbs. If your looking for a fun in the sun car with investment potential, this is it.
