1970 Triumph Spitfire

Triumph Spitfire (1970)
for sale

Price: US $1.41

Description:

This is a Spitfire MK3 MKIII parts car; the person I got it from was unable to locate the title. That being said, it is nearly complete. It sat in a dry airport hangar in NJ for 30 years before I got it and has been in my garage since 2012. It is straight and even the tires are in good shape. The dash is not cracked and looks to be salvageable. There is some rust on the right rocker, I have a replacement rocker for it. If you want to attempt to get a title for it and put it on the road, this would be a big project, but I believe the frame is straight and relatively rust free., so it is not an impossible (read basket case) project. I never tried to start it so I don't know the condition of the engine or transmission, but engine spins freely. There is a clutch in a box that seems to be brand new. It is a non-overdrive car. I took the intake and carb off of it, but I will include as well as 2 boxes of parts.I will also include the Weber carb in the photo; it is in need of a rebuild but should work great on this car. I will also be including some an extra set of front and rear bumperettes in the sale. Floor boards and trunk are both solid and relatively rust free. It was an original Primrose Yellow car; the person who had it went all in with the green you see in the pictures. If you know how to get a title for it this could be a great project. I believe it to have the original motor and transmission.
I will provide a bill of sale with the car.
I AM REPEATING; I DO NOT HAVE THE TITLE; DO NOT BID ON SPITFIRE EXPECTING A TITLE.
PLEASE DO NOT BID IF WITHOUT MAKING SURE OF YOUR TRANSPORTATION COSTS!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE TRANSPORTING FROM ALLENTOWN, PA!!!!
With that being said, please contact me with any other questions you may have, I may be willing to transport (for a fee) if party is with 100 miles of Allentown, PA.
Thanks for bidding and good luck!

Car is located 10 Miles north of Allentown, PA. Please contact me with any questions; please try and get car within 7 days of sale, I have a tow dolly and could possible transport for you, but please contact me ahead of time for pricing and availability for this.

Hi, Well I may need to pull the car out of the garage. My son's car needs work and I am out of space. The car may be outside with a tarp under it and over it when you pick it up, but I will ensure that it is stored as dry as I can make it. Thanks.
