If you are looking for a TR6 for restoration this is simply the best example you could wish for. It is totally solid and straight with great panel fit and still with its original paint. You can see from the pictures how dry the car has been stored over the years. The only area of visible rust is on the boot lid where the paint has cracked, however this should sand down with no issues.
The engine runs well and is nice and quite with good oil pressure. The clutch and brakes work, however you will need to go through all the mechanics before using it on the road. The seats, radio tower and soft to are present but the carpets and some of the vinyl panels have been removed all of which you can obtain as a complete kit.
I have had many Triumphs and have restored many over the years and this is by far the best one I have seen that requires restoration. When they are left sitting for this amount of time they usually deteriorate. The also has the added benefit of a factory hard top.
This exceptionally solid TR6 will make for an ideal restoration and shouldn't require any welding.
